George’s expedition experience began in 1994, climbing the high volcanoes in the Ecuadorian Andes, and an attempt on Aconcagua in Argentina – the highest mountain in the Southern hemisphere. Since then he has been a part of many of Tom’s mountaineering expeditions, including a return to Andes in 1997 and summiting unclimbed mountains in Kyrgyzstan in 2000. George’s polar experience includes the record-breaking North Pole expedition in 2005 with Tom and Andrew, which also made George the youngest Briton to reach the North Pole on foot. George is a director of Hartog Hutton – a successful construction business based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, where he lives with his wife Annie, and 3 children – Lara, Charlie & Ted.
