is passionate about the first women explorers and is on a quest to get their undertold stories out into the world. She has so far travelled to Ecuador to travel down the Bobonaza River in the footsteps of Isabela Godin the first known woman to travel the length of the Amazon River, Cameroon to follow Mary Kingsley’s route up Mount Cameroon, walked to Nubra in Northern Ladakh emulating Isabella Bird’s journey on a yak through the lower Himalayas and traveled Kate Marsden’s epic route overland across Siberia. Jacki will be talking about her latest adventures in this ongoing project and sharing her knowledge about these feisty and extraordinary women.
