Marianne started serious mountaineering when she was around 18 years old.
Expeditions:
1993 - Cho Oyu on 3 February 1993, first winter summit of a 8000m peak by a woman. There were 8 climbers in the expedition: 1 from Argentina (Lito Sanchez), 6 from Spain and 1 from Switzerland.
2000 - Everest with Renate Schmid. Both didn't summit as they went back 180 meters from the summit due to very bad weather.
2003 - Hidden Peak
2003 - Gasherbrum II
2005 - Nanga Parbat on 20 July 2005, summited with Edurne Pasaban and Ester Sabadell.
All her summits were achieved without supplemental O2 and above basecamp porters.
