Having been part of the youngest and fastest team to ever reach the South Pole with Tom and Andrew in 2002, Patrick went on to lead the first ever East to West traverse of Antarctica in 2004, covering 1,150 miles in 75 days. Outside of the Polar World, he has been on many successful expeditions, summiting unclimbed mountains with Tom and George in Kyrgyzstan, as well as in Tibet. Patrick has also kayaked down unchartered rivers in the Amazon and was part of the team to set the fastest crossing of the Atlantic Ocean. A bestselling thriller novelist and airplane pilot, Patrick has been running White Desert since 2006, which specialises in luxury holidays to Antarctica. He divides his time between Cape Town, Antarctica and London, where he lives with his wife Robyn and two children Electra and Oscar.
