In 2014 Lucy Engleheart and Anne-Laure Carruth left London to drive a 1971 Land Rover around the Mediterranean. Travelling through countries including Libya, Algeria and Tunisia they experienced and documented everyday life in North Africa and the Middle East. Their aim was to add a positive layer of information to the picture portrayed in the mainstream media, interweaving the stories of the people they met with their own. Lucy and Anne-Laure will host an exhibition space where you can climb around their Land Rover which was pimped-up with a new modification in every country. The exhibition space will also share recordings of local music and testimonies, photos and memorabilia - all served with Arabic tea by Lucy and Anne-Laure themselves. shifting-sands.com
