Pasang Lhamu Sherpa hails from Khumjung of Solukhumbu on the foothills of the Mt. Everest. She grew up in Lukla- the entry point of Everest Region. The beginning of her climbing and mountaineering careers starts as her name matches to the late Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, first Nepali women climber to Mt. Everest. She also inspired to work in the field of mountaineering and climbing as Late Pasang Lhamu Sherpa did.

She did basic level climbing training from Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) in 2004 and advance level training in 2005. After doing all mountaineering training in Nepal, She got her mountaineering diploma course from ENSA, France. She climbed the Mt. Everest from the Tibet side and other peaks namely, Yala Peak, Nangpai Gusung ,Ama Dablam, Mt Putta Hiunculi and other trekking peaks. She is the first Nepali female mountaineering instructor. She is the first women to climb the Nangpai Gosum, 7321 m on the auspicious occasion of Golden Jubilee of Nepal-Japan Friendship. Also, she successfully organized France women team to Ama Dablam, 6812 m in 2011.

Today, in addition to working as a female mountaineering instructor in Nepal, she is guiding and teaching in Nepal and USA. She is an athlete of Sherpa Adventure since 2007. She has now taken upon herself to shares the challenges of Himalayan people in the wake of climate change with audiences from across the world.
